Partnered by COMU and conducted by Hasan Arslan, Professor at the Faculty of Education, the Erasmus Plus Vocational Training Project called ‘Free Technology Signs’ has been selected for funding and support by the Austrian National Agency in the “Erasmus Plus, KA220-VET 00033187 - Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training” category.
The aim of the project is to help deaf and hearing-impaired people learn independently, provide them with information on transferrable digital skills, increase their lifelong learning and personal development opportunities, and contribute to ensure they become a member of society. The 323,230-Euro project is expected to be completed in January 2024.
Kadir Tuncer, Lecturer, Sedat Yakut, PhD student, and Hasan Dirik, PhD student, participated in the project as researchers. Project partners are Equalizent Schulungs und Beratungs Gmbh (Austria), Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University (Turkey), Instituto Statale Sordi (Italy), European Union of The Deaf Aisbl (Belgium), Humboldt-Universitaet Zu (Germany).
