Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) continues to draw attention with its success in scientific and technological research. According to the 2024 results of the TÜBİTAK “1001–Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program” 2nd period, 5 projects from ÇOMÜ were deemed worthy of support, while a project was granted the right to apply without waiting for the next period if revisions are made.
In the evaluation conducted among 208 universities across Turkey, ÇOMÜ ranked 12th in terms of the total number of supported projects and success rate. This result once again highlighted the competence of our university in scientific research and its emphasis on research and development activities.

The TÜBİTAK 1001 Program aims to increase our country's scientific capacity by supporting scientific and technological research projects. The projects supported from our university under this program stand out with innovative approaches in different disciplines. This success of ÇOMÜ is a reflection of its importance given to scientific research and the qualified efforts of its academic staff.
We Are 12th Among 208 Universities
With the 5 supported projects, ÇOMÜ managed to rank 12th among 208 universities. At the same time, the special revision right given to a project should be evaluated as an indicator of ÇOMÜ's high potential in scientific research processes. Our university continues with determination to produce scientific projects and successfully represent them in national and international arenas.

As ÇOMÜ, we are aware of the contribution of scientific research to social development. This success achieved under the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program is proof that our university is rapidly progressing in line with its research and development (R&D) vision.
